Hilary Lennox is Joint Head of the International Team at Pump Court Chambers. Hilary is a barrister called to the Bar of England and Wales, Ireland and Northern Ireland. She has worked in a law firm in New York and the Wisconsin Innocence Project in the US. Hilary is a club member of Financial Times Board of Directors programme and global member of Women on Boards.
Hilary has a strong practice in international human rights and family law. She has extensive experience of the many different aspects of international family law. She is instructed in child abduction cases involving both Hague and non Hague Convention countries, jurisdictional disputes and relocation cases most recently involving Nigeria, Spain, South Africa, USA, Ireland, India and Australia. She is instructed in Forced Marriage and FGM cases on behalf of the MPS and by applicant children through their litigation friends most recently in relation to Libya and Afghanistan.
She has been instructed to bring cases before the European Court of Human Rights and worked on the Grenfell Tower Inquiry for 6 months.
